Lie to the Children
It has been a pet hate of mine for many years, Religion.
Don’t get me wrong i do believe that in the right hands, the products of some religious teachings can have an advantageous outcome. However, this is only in a few very unique cases, and i the hands of a few very gifted and opened minded individuals. It is more common though for religion to get into the hands of the wrong people and be thought as the be all and end all of a happy and prosperous life. This is especially prevalent in the teaching of religious doctrine to small impressionable children. HOW WRONG IS THAT. These children are not even old enough to cross the road on there own but it is somehow, in some circles of society, OK to teach children the ways of god, with no alternative or justification given. If what is being thought really is the truth wont these children come back to these teaching in latter life.
This is the biggest problem i have with religion, its not the proof-less faith based lies, or the millions of dollars scammed out of the public each year. No.
Its the fact that small children are being fed there parents views from such a young age, there is no hope for them to build their own ideas or to see the obserdity of what they are actually being told.
That is why it is my belief, if we were not allowed to preach religion to children before the age of 15, religion would completely die of within 5 generations in a modern sociality.
